Adventure Academy
Adventure Academy is a partnership between 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant and Onward and Upward, a non-profit organization dedicated to experiential and holistic learning. We provide adventurous, cross-curricular classes that simultaneously develop students' physical, mental, and emotional skills in an experiential way. As a result, students earn credit for two courses at a time. Each five-week academy has a different focus and name, but will always incorporate physical challenges, mindfulness, and trust building activities. The academy meets in 5-week sessions, and then transition to a new focus of study. Students can participate in one academy session and be done, or roll into the next academy session for two more classes. Students can only participate in two five-week sessions to allow other students to take advantage of the opportunity.
